- A report on early childhood mental healthservices in Adams County finds families lack access to childpsychiatric services. Mark Schmitz is associate executive director of Transitions ofWestern Illinois. He says agencies working on the report found nopsychiatrist who would see a child under age 5. Families had problems finding diagnostic services for conditionssuch as autism and attention deficit disorder. The report is based on surveys of 140 county residents and focusgroups with professionals.
