tmpl –> The Solano County’s Public Health Department said the first child died Friday after being hospitalized with severe E. coli symptoms which can include stomach cramps diarrhea and vomiting. The name and gender of the victim was not disclosed. A second child was treated for severe diarrhea at a Dixon area hospital this week and was released. Lab results are pending to determine if that child also had E.

Mental health and developmental disabilities agencies will see a 2. 5 percent cut for the remainder of the 2009 fiscal year rather than the 4 percent cut called for in Gov. James Douglas’ budget rescission proposal. WH pledges more support for cholera fight

To date WH has responded by deploying technical experts and providing medical supplies used in cholera treatment centres. The organisation has also taken a leading role in co-ordinating the cholera response in Zimbabwe by leading the health cluster and offering technical support to Government.
